RM2GJ0KHX–Mexico City: High above the Olympic Stadium the Olympic flame burns brightly at the opening ceremony of the 1968 Olympic games. The flame was lit by Enriqueta Basilio de Sotelo the Mexican hurdler. She is the first woman in the history of modern Olympics to have the honour. The ceremony signalled the start of the games on 12th October, 1968
