They're off on a do-it-yourself Flip: Fasten those seat-belts - you're airborne! And the boy at the controls is only sixteen. He is Rex Whatley who is taking his friend David West, 16, for a flip in an autogyro, a sort of do-it-yourself hoverplane. Rex, of Bucklebury, Berks, uses a nearby disused airfield for his hovering. His autogyro has no Engine. He lifts it into the air by pumping a handle which works the rotor-blades and a cable truck tows it along. It's fun for the boys - they don't even need a flying licence. One-sided three-layer comb. Type: 'comb with four attached handle plates'. This type has two larger and two smaller narrow handle blades on both sides. The small narrow handles are called 'strips'.
