Dickens rented several houses in Broadstairs in the summers between 1837 and 1852, writing especially 'Bleak House' and 'David Copperfield' there. The parlour is refurbished as described by Dickens and illustrated by H K Browne (Phiz). Some of the author's own letters and memorabilia are on display in the museum.
