RM2KFHKMY–NEW BOSTON SPACE FORCE STATION, N.H. – Pictured are remnants of a P-51 Mustang which crashed on Jan. 14, 1949, at New Boston Space Force Station, N.H. Sept. 16, 2022. Capt. Elmer V. Kramer, 95th Fighter Squadron pilot, was on a training dive-bomb mission when the left flipper door of his aircraft was ripped off, followed by the rest of the wing. Kramer was killed on impact, but his story and plane remain on the Space Force Station to this day.
