These men are middle classed as they are wearing pocket watches which were an expensive status symbol at the time and the photos show the men displaying the watch chains with suit jackets open They are seated outside in a garden. There are good examples of fashions. All are wearing 'sack coats' or 'town coats' of wool and tweed, bowler hats, flat caps. The portly man wears a silk rose button hole. circa 1885, U.K.
