RMG589PW–Man möchte an jedem Fleckchen Halt machen und träumen und wandern, in Rolandseck, in Oberwinterm in Königswinter, vor allem aber im herrlichen Godesberg. Gekrönt wird der Ort von der Ruine Godesburg, die wir hier im Bilde sehen. Erzbischof Theoderich von Köln begann um 1216 den Bau der Burgm die dann zahlreichen Stürmen Trotz bot, bis sie 1583 von den Bayern, die gegen den seiner Würde entsetzten Kurfürsten Gebhard (Truchseß von Waldburg) ausgerückt waren, erstürmt und bis auf den riesigen Turm in die Luft gesprengt wurde. Die Ansicht vom Turme der Burg ist von weltberühmter Einzigartigkeit. E
