Streicher was one of Hitler's earliest supporters and rewarded him with protection against whoever hated Streicher's anti-Jewish rantings and publications. Gauleiter Julius Streicher spoke at the 'opening of the Third Craft Competitions of the Province of Franconia on the Adolf Hitler Square, Nurnberg, German Worker's Front, Franconia.' The city's public square was entirely filled with neat rows of uniformed men and boys. Swastika flags and banners dominated the view. Note the flaming cauldron just left of top center. A silver honour ring in art déco style with applied enamelled swastika, the inner surface engraved with dedication 's/l Kolb 12.9.34 Streicher'. An honour ring in martial style from the Gauleiter of Franconia to SA staff member and 'Blood Order wearer' Kolb. Kolb, who was also an SS-Ehrenführer and from 1933 to 1934 intendant of Bavarian Broadcasting, won the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross in 1941.
