RM2A8R7M5–A squadron of SE5A fighters in France. It was considered by many pilots to be the best British single-seat fighter of World War One. The first production aircraft had the 150hp Hispano-Suiza fitted and were designated SE5. The later SE5a had the 200 or 220hp Hispani-Suiza or 200hp Wolseley Viper engine. It was used by twenty-four squadrons of the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force in France, Palestine, Macedonia, Mesopotamia and the United Kingdom. The SE5 and SE5a were flown by some of the leading British fighter pilots including Beauchamp-Proctor, Bishop, Mannock and McCudden. Together

RM2A8R8NY–The Sopwith Camel, British First World War single-seat biplane fighter aircraft introduced on the Western Front in 1917. It was powered by a single rotary engine and was armed with twin synchronized Vickers machine guns. Though proving difficult to handle, it provided for a high level of manoeuvrability to an experienced pilot, an attribute which was highly valued in the type's principal use as a fighter aircraft. In total, Camel pilots have been credited with downing 1,294 enemy aircraft, more than any other Allied fighter of the conflict.
