RME0MNAN–Jan. 01, 1956 - Fire Breaks out in Glasgow Vessel on Way to Copenhagen Crew Rescued. Fire broke out in the Glasgow Vessel Herriesburn en route to Copenhagen with a cargo of coal. The burning ship was adrift in the Kattegat. She was abandoned by her crew of 25 who were taken aboard the motor vessel ESSO of Nyborg, Denmark on the way to Frederikshaven, Jutland. RME0YMCY–Oct. 10, 1970 - Stricken tanker aground: Fire which engulfed the 42,000 ton Liberian tanker Pacific Glory after a collision with another tanker off the Isle of Wight was out last night 421 hours after it started. This lessened the danger of an explosion aboard the ship which would release more of the oil cargo into the sea. Anti pollution squads stood by along the South Coast.
