RME0MFJA–Dec. 25, 1954 - A Plane Crash At Prestwick Airport: A B.O.A.C. Stratocruiser crashed at Prestwick Airport early to-day and set fire, it was like an Inferno, flames soaring thirty to fourty feet high. There are twenty-eight dead and five injured. The Captain and his operating crew got out through the burning nose of the aircraft. It took two hours before they had got the fire under control. Marching Along A Roman Road.: Seven members of the Surrey Walking Club this morning were to be seen - dressed in Battle of Hastings Armour - marching along Posse Way - an ancient Roman Road between B th and Cirencester. It is an experiment to show whether in October 1066 Harold and his men could have marched 200 miles in ten days. The march is being filmed for the B.B.C.
