RMW26MNW–A rainy day near the Corn Exchange in Leeds city centre. The image shows a Roe Bodied AEC Regent III double decker bus on route to Cottingley. The vehicle would have been new in 1950. Note the old Guinness clock advertisement in the background.
RMW26MP1–The cars on the right are in Duke Street. The factories dominating the background, right are William Read, Ltd, Wholesale costumiers and Walter Wragg Ltd. Motor Car Agents & Dealers, (Fiat), used car specialists, motor cycles, scooters and mopeds of Munro House, York Street. In the background left of centre the arched entrance to Priestley House, part of Quarry Hill flats is visible. Between 1938 and 1978 Quarry Hill was the location of what was at the time the largest social housing complex in the United Kingdom.
