In previous years, the flowers required a lot of watering. The new plants should be more cost-effective, and more sustainable since they require less water and will be better suited to the summer heatwaves and droughts that have become more frequent due to climate change.

RM2WBXTDH–12th January 2024. The annual apple orchard wassail took place in Hartley Wintney village, Hampshire, England, UK. The Hook Eagle Morris group started the evening outside the Waggon and Horses Pub with a morris dancing display, with cider available to the public. This was followed by a torch procession to the orchard, with traditional singing and wassailing and pieces of toast were placed on an apple tree to promote a good harvest for the coming year.

The event took place over the weekend of 16th and 17th September on Newbury Showground, Berkshire, England, UK, after a three year gap. The show, also called the Royal County of Berkshire Show was organised by The Newbury & District Agricultural Society, and was well attended. a traditional merry-go-round or roundabout with up and down horses in the fairground.
