Northern Shoveler Anas clypeata (Linnaeus) Status: The Northern Shoveler is a common-to-abundant transient statewide, is casual in summer, and rare in winter. Period of Occurrence: Extreme dates for presumed transients are from 1 March to 5 June and 31 July to 8 December. Migration peaks are in mid-April and early November.
