Captain Kahn's GREAT MANTA, more than 20 feet wide, weight over 5000 lbs, Garraway County, Rutherford, New Jersey, 1933. A postcard is a rectangular piece of thick paper or thin cardboard intended for writing and mailing without an envelope. Postcards were made because people were looking for an easier way to send quick notes. Postcards, in the form of government postal cards and privately printed souvenir cards, became very popular as a result of the Columbian Exposition, held in Chicago in 1893, after postcards featuring buildings were distributed at the fair. Olaus Magnus was a 16th-century ecclesiastic, cartographer, and historian and in his book 'History of the Northern Peoples' (1555), he writes 'Those who sail up along the coast of Norway to trade or to fish, tell the remarkable story of how a sea serpent or sea dragaon of fearsome size, 200 feet long and 20 feet wide, resides in rifts and caves outside Bergen. On bright summer nights this serpent leaves the caves and fares out to the sea to feed. With its sharp black scales and flaming red eyes, it attacks vessels, grabs and swallows people, as it lifts itself up like a column from the water.' September 30, 2022, Kolkata, West Bengal, India: The theme of Ahiritola Sarbojanin Durgotsava Samiti is Akashvani. The main purpose of choosing this theme is to introduce radio and gramophone to the present generation. In front of the mandap is a huge gramophone that is 30 feet high and 20 feet wide. The gramophone might make the smartphone generation think of old-time music. On the other hand, the mandap is being made in the shape of a radio, with a record player inside. . Archaeologia cantiana. EXCAVATIONS AT RICHBOROTJGH. 269 Northern Wall.—Towers certainly existed on the northside, but they had little depth of foundation, and it is notpossible to give their exact projection, but they were in eachcase 20 feet wide. They are symmetrically placed on eachside of the postern through this wall, which occurs at 240feet from the north-westerly angle. This gateway is already well known. It has a threshold 3 feet wide, and the entrance-way over it has a width of only 4 feet 6 inches clear, which must have been further reducedby the gate posts.
