Backside of Daiden (aka Hondo or Main Hall), rebuilt in 1974. The Zojoji Temple is the Main Temple of Jodo shu (Pure Land Sect) of Buddhism. Founded in 1393 and moved to Edo (old Tokyo) in 1598 by the founder of Tokugawa Shogunate (Ieyasu Tokugawa), ruler of Japan in the Edo Period. Shiba area. Minato-ku district. Tokyo. Japan
