This theatre, built in the Helenistic tradition, had seating for 5000 spectators and probably dates back to the 4th century BC and was continued to be used through the Roman period (for example, the proskenion, which is part of the stage, was rebuilt five times between the 4th century BC and the 3rd century AD).
