U.S. Air Force Capt. Adam Ackerman, MI-17 pilot adviser, 441st Air Expeditionary Advisory Squadron, flies a MI-17 helicopter over southern Afghanistan, Sept. 5, during a sustenance resupply mission, at Kandahar Air Wing, Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. U.S. airmen and soldiers, and Afghan airmen worked together to deliver 137 cases of water and Halall meals to a 5th Kandak Afghan Border Police check point, Shorabak district. Ackerman is a Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., native deployed from the 90th Operations Group, F.E Warren Air Force Base, Wyo.
