Unloading a shipment of cotton in the harbor of Bremen, 1933. The cargo of a freight ship is being removed at a dock in the cotton harbor. A crane lifts the cotton from the bottom of the ship onto a waiting train car. Bremen was the most important cotton harbor in Europe, approximately 2 million bales were transported from there yearly to all European countries.
