Designed by Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth, Tiger & Turtle is one of the world's great staircases. Beautifully made from steel and zinc, this staircase gives the impression of a typical rollercoaster. A fantastic interactive sculpture which sits high above the local area, giving good views of Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Essen, the majestic Rhein, and everything in between. Free to enter, a perfect family outing, for anyone who isn't afraid of heights. Tiger and Turtle, Magic Mountain was - in 2013 - ranked number 5 on The Huffington Post's list of "Most Extreme Staircases".
