This Bristol Freighter airliner overshot the runway when it was landing at Southend Airport. Then it crashed through a fence and stopped - just a few feet from an electric railway line. Overhead are high tension cables carrying a load of 1,500 volts. None of the thirteen people in the plane were hurt and no trains were near when the crashed happened. The plane, belonging to Air Charter, Ltd. was flying from Calais, France, with ten passengers and a crew. There were also three cars aboard. They were all given a shaking when the plane crashed
