Cairo, Egypt -- 3 August 2011 -- The scene outside the courtroom at the venue of the trial of Ex President of Egypt Hosni Mubarak and his sons Alaa and Gamal, and ex Interior Minister Habib el Adly amongst others, in the first trial of them following the Egypt Revolution of Jan 2011, where they are accused of killing over 800 protesters and other crimes following 30 years of autocratic rule. The trial of Mubarak and top regime officials was one of the key demands of the Revolutionaries, who six months after the revolution complain that justice is moving slowly and they demand faster reforms. The trial was held in a conference hall at the Police Academy on the outskirts of the capital, chosen for its remote and secure location. Mubarak was wheeled into the courtroom cage for defendants on a stretcher because of frail health.
