The traffic is pictured in the capital of the Kosovo, Pristina, Serbia, 11 December 2006. Administrated by the UN the Kosovo forms part of Serbia under international law. Pristina, as the third-biggest city of Serbia, is the biggest city of the Kosovo and its political, economic and cultural centre. The international missions of the UN, the EU and the OECD have their headquarters here as well at the most important organs of the provisional organs of the self-government like the parliament, the government and the President. In 1999 the city suffered servere damage when the Kosovo conflict escalated. Almost all Serbs and Non-Albanians fled or were expulsed from the city after 1999. Photo: Matthias Schrader
