As well as being a new Ponta Delgada dining hot spot, the Anfiteatro restaurant doubles up as the School of Tourism and Hospitality Training (Escola de Formação Turistica e Hoteleira) - a teaching institute that administers professional and qualification courses in culinary arts, restaurant, bar, hospitality and other touristic related activities. The school is a pioneer project, unique in the Azores, as it has a training restaurant/coffee bar where most of the practical classes and internships take place.
