The museum of the Slovak National Uprising was founded in 1955 In 1969 it moved to its current location The building is designed by the Slovak architect Dusan Kuzma The building consists of two asymmetric monuments linked by a bridge In the area between the two sections there is the tomb of the unknown soldier and the etrnal flame The museum is specialised in the period of Slovak anti fascist resistance between 1938 1945 and the Slovak National Uprising
