British WWII propaganda poster showing an illustration of a submarine conning tower and gun, with the submarine Captain and British sailors in action, as the enemy ship sinks in flames. This poster was imprinted with different slogans and in different languages. This version is "The Attack Begins in the Factory" was designed to persuade workers on the homefront to keep up their efforts to support the war. ‘The Attack Begins in the Factory: Allied Submarines'. The image was also used in the ‘Back Them Up' series, with added text: ‘In the Mediterranean British submarines have caused great havoc to Axis shipping'. Rumbold was an illustrator who contributed artwork in the early 1930s to the quintessential Savoy Cocktail Book.
