Inland Passage (also known as the Inside Passage) is a coastal route for oceangoing ships along a network of passages that weave through the islands on the Pacific coast of North America. It extends from Puget Sound in northwestern Washington State of the United States, north along the coast of western British Columbia in Canada to the southeastern panhandle of Alaska It is heavily traveled by cruise ships, freighters, fishing craft, ferries of the BC and Washington State Ferries Systems and ships of the Alaska Marine Highway.
