Sulawesi black-crested macaque (Macaca nigra) drinking water as they are foraging on a stream close to the beach in Tangkoko forest, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The endemic monkey of Sulawesi spends more of than 60 percent of their daytime on the ground rather than on trees, according to primate scientists. The natural habitat of this protected species is lowland forest stretching from sea level to an elevation of around 1, 300 meters.
