Stone carving on Magar Mandi Mata Mandir a 9th Century. Hindu temple. This depicts the goddess Durga in the form of Mahisha Mardini beheading the demon Mahishasura in the form of a buffalo. Durga's lion can be seen biting the buffalo. The demon is emerging from the buffalo's neck and a selection of Durga's ten weapons can be seen. This temple was probably made in South India and transported to Nimaj. Nimaj, Rajasthan, Republic of India. 12 December 2008
