Stictocarbo S. punctatus The Spotted Shag or Parekareka is endemic to New Zealand. It was originally classified as Phalacrocorax punctatus, but since there are many points of difference between the types, including yellow feet, it has since been reclassified into Stictocarbo - a genus that is only found in New Zealand.
