Single picture of the Grand Admiral Alfred von Tirpitz. He was considered as the founder of the German deep sea fleet and was promoted from supreme commander of the marine to the fleed admiral. The 'Tirpitz-Plan', which was named after him, planned the development of the second largest European sea fleet and lead to the arms race with Great Britain during the First World War.
