Saturday 16th March 2013 Clapham Firefighter addresses rally during Fire Brigades Union day of action against London Mayor Boris Johnson cuts agenda. With proposed cuts of some 520 Fire Fighter posts, 18 Fire Engines and the closure of 12 Fires stations the FBU argue London will be put at risk citing increased response times affecting some 4.7 million Londoners. The potential closure of Clapham Fire Station saw FBU General Secretary Matt Wrack, MP's, Councillors and Union representatives along with concerned residents march through Clapham.
