Salem Chalabi, in central London, the head of the tribunal trying Saddam Hussein, who is wanted in Iraq in connection with the murder of a finance minister, will not be extradited by British authorities during his visit to London, the Foreign Office confirmed today. An arrest warrant for Salem Chalabi, 41, was issued last week in relation to the murder of Haithem Fadhil, director general of the Iraqi finance ministry. Mr Chalabi, a lawyer and the executive director of the Iraqi special tribunal, is on a private visit to London, and has denied any involvement in the killing.
