Presented by Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, Mrs. Elizabeth C. Moore of London Road, Kilmarnock, receives the National Trophy awarded by Shell- Mex and B.P.Ltd, for the greatest contribution by personal effort to the safety of children on the road during 1965. The Duke is President of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. Mrs. Moore, a housewife, has devoted all her spare time over the past 3.5 years to developing a better Road Safety awareness amongst children in nursery schools and has taught mentally and physically handicapped children road safety.
