Piccaninny Creek, Purnululu National Park, East Kimberley, Western Australia. In the dry season, Piccaninny Creek can be used as a walking track connecting the main features of the southern part of Purnululu. The dark bands on the sandstone domes along the creek are formed by the growth of cyanobacteria in those parts of the rock face where there is sufficient moisture.
