Aug. 27, 2014 - Newport Beach, California, U.S - A quadcopter equipped with camera equipment flies over a large crowd in Newport Beach as several hundred people had gathered to watch surfers in the water during recent big surf. --- The Federal Aviation Administration has yet to determine what the final guidelines for the use of drones will be in public and private. Drones have become increasingly popular for use by photography enthusiasts, amateur and professional, as they look to capture images they would normally be unable to do. Drone photography has been used in creative, business and journalistic pursuits but is un-regulated and un-licensed at any government level. The FAA has expressed concerns for regular manned aircraft as well as for people and property on the ground. Federal officials are also not clear on what the guidelines should be for citizens and their rights and expectations to privacy. Across the US, several drone operators have been warned by the FAA after videos were uploaded on the internet. (Credit Image: © David Bro/ZUMA Wire)
