Migrants on Chios Island - 04/01/2016 - Greece / Cyclades (the) / Chios island - Dancers from Winter-rise festival gathered money to buy backpacks to distribute to the families of immigrants. The backpacks had a letter inside in arabic, and fersi explaining the project and a letter in english for refugees to haddle where they pass to get hot water for the thermos. The backpacks contained steeling bag, thermos and food. A team of five arrived in Chios island and in collaboration with the locals (Chios Solidarity) who are organising and supporting the refugee passage gave the emergency backpacks the first week of January 2016. - Stefania Mizara / Le Pictorium
