Mar. 31, 2012 - Swedish electric car ? If everything is following the schedule, the Swedish factory Monark-Cresent will start to produce an electrical car at the end of this year. The project is already well progressed. For about one month a prototype is develope3d at the factory and ten people are working hard with it. Behind the project are Monark-Cresent, Vattenfall, Tudor and Noak, Swedish Industrial Department, PTT and Swedish Defens Research. The Swedish Defens Research (FOA) have constructed a component which makes it possible to ?load? the car when you are having your tea. Quite a sens

Quite a sensational idea! Former electrical cars had to spend at least one night at the battery station. The MCB electrical car is made of the best components there are and if the tests turns out well, about 190 cars will be produced during 1972-73. These cars have already been sold to participants in Scandinavia. Designer is Pelle Pettersson, known as the man who designed Volvo P 1800, but also known as the winner of several world championships of sailing. The car will take two passengers, but is above all to be used for distribution of mail and small goods. It is also a perfect shopping car for housewives. Maximum speed is today 70 kilometers per hour and the power from the battery will under normal conditions last for about eight hours. (Credit Image: © Keystone Pictures USA/ZUMAPRESS.com)
