The U Bein Bridge is a remarkable architectural landmark located in Amarapura, Myanmar. Stretching approximately 1.2 kilometers across the Taungthaman Lake, the bridge is believed to be the longest and oldest teakwood bridge in the world. Constructed in the mid-19th century during the reign of King Mindon, the bridge was built using teakwood pillars that were repurposed from the former royal palace in Inwa. A popular tourist attraction, the U Bein Bridge offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, especially during sunrise and sunset.
