Loreto area, Sea of Cortez, Baha, MexicoMore information:
The Sea of Cortez, especially in the area near Loreto, is an exceptionally rich marine environment with blue whales, fin whales, humpback whales, huge manta rays, dolphins and a rich bird life. The marine life is fed by a rich plankton population, and when huge swarms of tiny pink krill accumulate near the water's surface it starts a feeding frenzy, with everything from tiny herring to large whales getting in on the action.
