London, UK. 13th Apr, 2017. The Thor Heyerdahl sails through the Thames Barries during the 2017 Regatta. Around 40 Tall Ships are scheduled to sail the river Thames to Greenwich, marking the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation. Over the Easter weekend, on 13 to 16 April 2017, the ships will be anchored at the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greenwich town centre, and at the Royal Arsenal Riverside in Woolwich before they sail to Quebec, Canada, via Portugal, Bermuda and Boston.
