Tower of London Poppies in the Moat of the Tower London Have been in place since 5 August 2014. Today the 12 November 2014 see the start of the removal on the installation. The Tower of London's moat has been filled with over 888, 246 ceramic poppies.The poppy is a symbol of Remembrance in the UK. The first ceramic poppy was planted in the moat by Yeoman Warder Crawford Butler. Created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins, with setting by stage designer Tom Piper. Each poppy represents a British military fatality during the First World War.
