LEDE - Archalene Amos Martin left, of Sacramento greets her sorority sister, Muzetta Thrower of Reno during the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 78th Far Western Regional Conference at the Doubletree hotel August 7, 2007. Thrower had been ill with cancer and Amos Martin and many others in the sorority had been praying for her. "It was touch and go for a while" thrower said, but she is well now and thankful for all the support. The black women's sorority is celebrating it's 100th year in 2008.
