Kyajo Ri is part of the Khumuche Himal and located in the Gokyo Valley, Mount Everest Region of Nepal. It is a very beautiful mountain which was first climbed by Anglo / French expedition in 2002. The mountain has a fine steep and rocky East Face as it is seen from Machhermo village in the Gokyo Valley which is still unclimbed. Base camp is established at 4600m and Camp I at over 5300m. after three hours walking over a grassy spur and boulders. Technical climbing is required from Camp I to Camp II at 5700m. From Camp II to summit has been rated as French Alpine Grade D.
