The name is given by the story that First Emperor of Qin went to Langya Pavilion to ask for immortality, and his officers took a bath on the island. There are 56 families and 50 families live on aquiculture. Wu retired from army and went back to his hometown Muguan Island in 1976, and there is no electricity at all. Fishermen bought an electric generator and asked him to be in charge of generating electricity and maintaining. He took tasks of inspecting lines, industry expansion, repairing, reading meter and charging since 1999. He worked for 39 years. 2 years ago villagers will be removed and he stayed again to wait for all fishermen withdrew. He took a boat to inspect cables every day, warned the fishboats to take care, and persuaded all fishboats dropped anchor in cable area to leave. He awared all fishermen to protect cables spontaneously. To relieve aquiculture families' worries, he fixed it anytime and went to culture base to check the potential dangers after storm.
