Joe Bonamassa opened for B. B. King when he was only 12 years old. B.B. King can pick them. Bonamaasa's output has been prolific, putting out 13 albums in 15 years through his independent record label J&R Adventures. II of these albums have reached 31 on the Billboard charts. He runs a non-profit organization called Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation, whose mission is to further music education by granting scholarships to schools in need. Heavily influenced by British guitar players, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Paul Kossof, Peter Green, Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher, Jimmy Page. He was mentored at the age of 12 by American guitar legend Danny Gatton.
