Jock Wilson aged 100 years old, proudly holds his Legion D'Honneur Medal, after it was presented to him by the French Ambassador Mr Gerard Errera, in a ceremony at the Ambassador's residence in Central London. Mr Wilson was one of 36 Normandy veterans who were awarded the highest French award, 60 years after the invasion of occupied France, on the 6th June 1944.
