TURKEY, ISTANBUL: Dolmabahce Palace was finished in 1855 for Sultan Abdul Mecit, whereupon the sultan and his household, abandoning Topkapi Palace, which had been the imperial residence for four centuries. It has a fantastic garden and also tea gardens around it.
