The Great Laxey Wheel. A piece of Victorian engineering and the largest surviving waterwheel of its kind in the world. Built in 1854 to pump water from the Laxey Mines, the wheel stands at lover 72 feet and has been one of the islands most popular tourist attractions for over 150 years.
