A previously unreleased picture of a rear gunner from the First Battalion Devonshire and Dorset Light Infantry, in a Merlin helicopter keeping a constant watch as one of the many flights by helicopter of British troops in the Basra area of Iraq fly on a mission. Defence Secretary Des Browne today described as "terribly sad" the death of a British soldier from the First Battalion Devonshire and Dorset Light Infantry in Iraq.
