The White House Trail is the only hiking trail in Canyon de Chelly National Monument that can be taken without a Navajo Guide. The trail leads from an overlook on the South Rim drive to the White House Ruins. The trail is about 2.5 miles round trip and descends 600 feet into the canyon.
